This weekend I got to dress up like a modern day Cinderella for a fairy tale murder mystery party. This means I got to wear my tiara, at long last (I have one from my Disney Princess half marathon!). My main motivation as a suspect in the murder of Goldilocks (gasp!!) was that I loved my new lifestyle, and would do anything to protect my beloved shoes! I thought a classy yet blingy manicure would fit this Cinderella perfectly!
I really love this! I’m sort of considering something like this for my wedding! What do you think? Also, don’t mind my little booboo (ouch!) on my ring finger.
I’m back at it with Essie. I used: Butler Please, Turquoise and Caicos, and Marshmallow to create the gradient, using a makeup sponge. Then I topped it all off with Sephora by OPI It’s Rel 18k Gold Topcoat. I also used a heart rhinestone. Next time I might use some nail glue instead of topcoat to stick the rhinestone on – for some reason, topcoat makes it kind of milky and less sparkly. I think the little heart is cute!
I felt like a princess without going the pumpkin/glass slipper route. Plus, that topcoat has real gold in it! How luxurious (and crazy!). I think I may try some more gradients as practice for the wedding. I want to have a classy look – but I don’t want it to be boring! Plus, I can do gradients pretty quickly and easily, so I won’t be stressed out about creating the perfect design. What do you think? Would you do your own wedding nails, or get them did?

You HAVE to do your own wedding nails – it’s become such a part of who you are!!! I think they should coordinate with your shoes!
Thanks, Catie! I think you’re right
they should totally coordinate with my shoes! So that’s teal and bling!!
