I am pretty obsessed with gradients lately – not sure if you can tell! They’ve become my go-to look when I want to have a nice, polished looking manicure but don’t have lots of time to dedicate to a really intense nail art design. They’re so easy to do, and there are so many awesome color and finish combinations! Plus, I’d rather have a nice gradient than just a one color manicure!

This manicure photographed a bit more purple than it is in real life – the base is a little more blue than purple. These are both Color Club polishes – I continue to be obsessed with the Take Wing collection. The shimmering gorgeous pink here is Wing Fling. The color that’s more periwinkle in real life came from a collection of Color Club polishes I got at Marshall’s – but it doesn’t seem to have a name! Not sure what it is…

So for a super fast manicure, I think this is really pretty. I love gradients – and I’m pretty sure I’ll end up doing a gradient or a classy glitter fade for my wedding!

This is so beautiful. How do u do this? With makeup sponges?
Thanks Rachel! I see you’ve been getting into nail art, too! Yep, I used a makeup sponge – paint the colors on the sponge and dab it on the nail. There’s a great tutorial you should check out here: http://www.kaylashevonne.com/2012/09/tutorial-gradient-nails.html?m=1
love this ombre look
Thanks! Me, too
One of the prettiest gradients I’ve ever seen!
Thanks so much! You’re too sweet
I’m pretty sure that base color is Pucci-Licious
one of my faves!
Thanks, Rebecca! It came in a set and none of them have names! Maybe I should make my own labels
