I have kind of a love/hate relationship with water marbling. Believe it or not, water marbling was my first foray into the wide world of nail art! I saw a video on YouTube and just knew I had to try it. And somehow, that first try came out awesome. So awesome! But every time I have tried since then I haven’t been as lucky. So, I try every once in a while, because they can be so pretty! This worked fairly well, I used new polishes and room temperature water. I got some bubbles, though.
Not so bad! I actually think the other hand was better, but it was so hard to photograph! I did a gradient accent, which also wasn’t super smooth, but I still kind of liked because it reminds me if a sunset.
And from a distance it looks pretty! I used OPI polishes from the Germany collection: Don’t Pretzel My Button, Schnapps Out of It!, Suzy and the Seven Dusseldorfs, and German-Icure. I got them way I used a tiny dotting tool to add in some cute little dots.
Not so bad – definitely room for improvement! I want to try drawing specific shapes in the polish next time.
Beautiful water marbling! They look really great!! Much better than my attempts!
Thanks! I love how water marbling looks, but it can just be so tricky!
