I recently saw a few tutorials for how to use a fan brush (because really, who uses those weirdo brushes?!) and thought it looked super cool! Check out this rainbow tutorial at Base Coat Top Coat. I basically used this technique, but one color at a time in layers, instead of all at once.

And I am obsessed with this look! I got so many compliments, it kind of looked like fabric. The layers made it have lots of depth. I am so excited to try this with different color combinations. So much newfound love for the fan brush. Seriously, who knew?

Oh my goodness, I loved this so much. I put a super thick layer of topcoat, but I think that made it chip a bit faster. I used all Sation polishes for this look: Blue Sky’s the Limit, Board Girl Blue, Miss Emo Shun All, and Fan the Flames Fuschia.

Have you used a fanbrush for nail art? What do you think about this look?

Haha, I like the photos where I’m holding a flower or something silly. We got some beautiful roses from Trader Joe’s last week!

So pretty! I really want to try this!
