This is another manicure from the vault – good thing I was trying to organize my photos, because I found a bunch of perfectly good manicures that I never shared! Hey now!
This is a pretty simple skittles manicure. I was just playing around and this is what came out. I used Orly Galaxy Girl (it’s pretty and shiny!), Illamasqua Jo’Mina, and a white It’s So Easy Striper.
- Thumb and ring finger: I got some craft scissors and used blue painter’s tape to make a little stencil for myself. First I painted on Jo’Mina, then I placed on strips of tape I cut out, and painted on a thick coat of Galaxy girl
- Index finger: I painted Galaxy girl first, then used a hole punch and some painters tape to make a heart stencil, and then I painted on Jo’Mina. I used the striper to outline the heart at the end
- Middle finger: Started with a base of Galaxy Girl, and then used a medium length striper to – you guessed it – paint stripes
- Pinky finger (oh, have I been spelling pinky wrong this whole time? Pinkie? Pinky?): I painted on Jo’Mina and then used a small dotter to make some polka dots
I think skittles, or mix and match, manicures are so fun! Why do just one design when you can cram on a whole bunch into one manicure??
